GregOnTv.com: Just an Update....

07-13-06 - Charlotte, NC -- A Quick Update

I have to say a big THANKS to everyone who sent emails about the Ride Across America! I went to AAA and got maps of every state in the US. My wife and I sat down and mapped out EVERY road you folks sent! I am working on a plan to get a lot of these roads in on the trip... I should have done this in the spring. Also, for all those people who send comments about the conclusion of 2 Wheel Tuesday (over 2000 of those!!!)

Our trip across America is on hold for the moment, with AMA Superbike/MotoGP weekend coming up next week. As you know I will be there as the pit reporter for all the races. If you see me without my head set on come on up and say hello. MotoGP weekend is the busiest weekend for me, so if I only have a couple of minutes to talk, sorry about that.

Nicky Hayden will be leading the MotoGP World Championship coming into Laguna, no matter the outcome from this weekend's race in Germany. I thought last year was a lot of pressure on The KY KID, but this year... oy! I can't wait! I'll see ya there!

GregOnTv.com: The Ride Across America and more...

06-23-06 - Charlotte, NC -- Road Racer X Rules, so do your suggestions!

First off I have to give mad props to CJ over at Road Racer X for making me/2 Wheel Tuesday the first article in this weeks RACEHEAD... if you have not seen it, for sure check it out.

If you are still interested in giving up one of your favorite roads just send an email... gregwhite@gregontv.com is the magic. So far I have road suggestions from almost all the states. I am missing a few, which I cannot believe... here are the states that have not given any road: Florida (I can see why), North Dakota, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Nebraska. Come on folks give your favorite road a chance!! We are working on the map/plan this weekend. Keep in mind, if you sent multiple routes from multiple states we will get to them, and I may have missed a suggestion for one of these states... I know there has been no MA, FL and RI!

More on the final route, and what days we will be traveling later. I certainly hope we can hook-up with those some people on the roads. I will call or email the people that suggested the roads we pick in hopes they can ride with us and do an interview with our cameras.

GregOnTv.com: HOLYSHIFT T-Shirt

06-22-06 - Charlotte, NC -- The Answer to the HOLYSHIFT shirt question.

SCROLL DOWN FOR THE INFO ON THE TRIP ACROSS COUNTRY!
During the final 2 Wheel Tuesday I was wearing a T-Shirt that said HOLYSHIFT. I have received many emails asking me where they can get this shirt... well here in the info.

You can visit www.shiftmx.com (this will open up a new window, so if you have pop-up protection on it might not work) to buy the shirt after July 1st! Sorry about that, but you'll have to wait a couple of days.

Do you have a question for me? Send your info the gregwhite@gregontv.com

GregOnTv.com: Motorcycle Trip Across Country!

06-20-06 - Charlotte, NC -- Greg Rides Across the US!

I am going to be taking a trip on a motorcycle, not sure which one yet, across the US with a friend on mine in the next few weeks. We will be shooting some video, perhaps podcasts from the day, and doing a little written blog both on gregontv.com and speedtv.com.

During this ride we want to rate some of the best roads in America! So please send us the road and directions of your favorite place to ride in the US. If we can fit it in on our path we will ride it, then rate it! The road can be YOUR favorite! It does not have to be a mountain, twisty road. We have several subjective categories in the ranking. All the categories are not set just yet, but here are some examples:

Rating system is 1 - 10 (10 being the best or highest number)

Road Surface: Is the road smooth, rough, pot holes, etc.
Road Length: Does the length of the road justify the trip to get to it?
Road Length vs. Fun Factor: is the road long enough for the fun it is?
Scenery: Is it beautiful to ride through?
Twisties: Is it tight enough, or perhaps to tight?
Danger Factor: Are there to many blue hairs on the road who drift over the line?

Again, this rating system will be subjective and not have any real merit other than bragging rights for the people who love the road.

We will encourage folks to come out and ride with us and be a part of the web cast stuff.

Send your info the gregwhite@gregontv.com

GregOnTv.com: Don't read the rumors, get the facts right here! Tell your friends the truth!!

05-30-06 - Charlotte, NC -- 2 Wheel Tuesday concludes June 20th!!

The reports are true that "2 Wheel Tuesday", the actual name of the show I been hosting for about three and half years is coming to an end. One thing I have realized is that everything in life, including life itself, has a cycle. There is a beginning a middle and finally and an end. 2 Wheel Tuesday has run its course and it was a great course!

I just want to thank every single person who was involved with 2 Wheel Tuesday over the years. There are a couple of stand-outs that need to be named. The man behind the week to week operations is Producer Dan Parisi. Also Rick Miner the Executive Producer of the show. Both men are huge motorcycle enthusiast and were 100% behind the show for the entire run. Beyond that there are so many people that have contributed to making this show a success, to many to name here.

Anyway, the real people who I need to thank are, you, the fans of the show. Over the years it is you folks who've kept us motivated to do the show week to week. We are very proud of the 174 shows we produced in three and half years.

I still work for Speed, I am not fired or being replaced… the show 2 Wheel Tuesday is just coming to its conclusion. 2 Wheel Tuesday is NOT being replaced by another show. That is false reporting from a website that does not have it's facts straight. A small fact is that 2 Wheel Tuesday airs at 8PM Est, American Thunder airs in it's place... I am not sure how the new show which airs at 9PM Est is replacing a show that is not even in the same time slot. Another fact is that 2 Wheel Tuesday had been slated to wrap up it's run long before the new show "Super Bikes" was even thought up. But some people just like to sensationalize situations for their benefit. Oh well, that is any industry I guess. Anyway, thanks again for inviting me into your house each week. It has been an honor and a privilege and I appreciate every person who ever watched. I will see you in the pits at the AMA Superbike races and perhaps in other capacities at Speed.

Thanks for all the years!

Greg White

03-12-06 - Charlotte, NC -- Greg receives a Telly Award for his work as Host of "2 Wheel Tuesday" and as a producer on the show as well. More info if you read below.

"The 27th Annual Telly Awards competition received over 12,000 entries from the finest ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies and corporations from around the World. The episode of 2 Wheel Tuesday that has received the Telly award aired December 20th, 2005 was Hosted by Greg White and featured: Red Bull Freestyle Motocross from Uptown Charlotte (Shot by Nikki Chanda and Produced by Jared Sells), Jason Pridmore & Greg White’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca track walk (Produced by Greg White & Dan Parisi) and the 2 part feature - Behind the Scenes TV production of the 2005 Daytona 200 Motorcycle race broadcast (Shot & Produced by Dan Parisi)."

Greg's statement: "I am just a small part of a team of people that works on 2 Wheel Tuesday. As the host I get the most recognition, but the truth is, without Producer Dan Parisi and the rest of the crew like Jared and the strong staff at Chet Burks Productions, this show would not be on the air. The Telly award is a very cool thing to have on the mantle, but I am most proud of working with such great people and churning out entertaining and informative shows. So thanks again to all that make this show a success and thanks to the folks at Telly for recognizing 2 Wheel Tuesday."
