Sup?

I just got back in the States from a fun trip to Toronto, Canada. What a great city with lots of stuff to do and see. The people are so friendly in Toronto... I can't say enough about what fun I had on this trip. The main purpose for my trip was to hang with a friend of mine who is working up there for a few weeks. Our goal was to ride bikes each day that I was in town. We did just that and had some painful fun. We rode around the city Saturday, went on the Donut Ride in North Toronto Sunday, then did the bike paths on the West Side Monday.

Ah... the bike. The bicycle can be a great tool for any motorcycle rider and racer to stay in shape. Riding a bike is low impact on the joints, uses the hell out of your cardio system and there are some motor skills that can translate directly to your motorcycle. Why do I bring all of this up? Well, I am a big bicycle nut now, and I frequently check the cycling news websites. So this morning I do what I usually do; get out of bed, let the dogs out for a piss, put food in the dogs bowl, grab a Myoplex bar, then head to the computer to update my virus protection, check my email, check all the motorcycle sites to see if there have been any changes since I went to bed, then I check the cycling site to do the same. One of my favorite cycling websites is www.cyclingnews.com based in Australia. Today I log on and what do I see in the LATEST NEWS section? An interview with Nicky Hayden! So I read it, and if you want to read it CLICK HERE!  And by the way ladies, there is a couple pictures of Nicky in his Cycling Kit (that is the name for those spandex clothes he is wearing... it is called a Kit.)   Nicky talks about his love for cycling, training, racing... all good stuff. It is great to see Nicky getting some more cross over exposure. It can only help the sport and perhaps drive some like minded people to watch MotoGP.

Onto other things. This will be in the"totally incomplete" reports section, but Jordan Suzuki Rider Jason Pridmore seems to be feeling better from his big highside crash at Mid-Ohio. Jason has been playing a ton of golf in preparation for a major tournament he has after VIR. He told me on my voice mail what it was, but I deleted it. I will talk with Jason more tomorrow at the track... ya know because VIR is this weekend.

Which brings me to VIR. We only have three rounds left in the AMA Superbike Championship this year and things are looking really exciting. The best class this season, as it has been for the last three seasons, is Formula Xtreme. Anyway, I will have some reports from the weekend during the course of the... ah weekend.
